1928 - 2007

John Patrick JOHNSON Went home to be with our Lord on August 1, 2007, surrounded by family after a long struggle with lung cancer. John was born March 26, 1928 to James and Margaret in Seattle. He was the youngest of 4 boys. He attended O'Dea High School and proudly served in the U.S. Merchant Marines where "He Delivered The Goods" during WWII. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a longshoreman with Local 19 up until his retirement in 1993.

He was very active in the pensioners group, loved his Mariners and enjoyed traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James, Thomas and Richard. He is survived by his beloved wife, Georgette; daughters, Margaret "Molly", Kathleen (Kevin), Maureen (Stu), and Jeaneen (Michael); son, Patrick; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. John was greatly loved by all who knew him and will be missed by many. Recitation of the Rosary will be Tuesday, August 7th, at 7:30 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 8th, at 10:30 a.m., BOTH at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Interment, Holyrood Cemetery.
