"Becky"

Rebecca (Becky) Loudy Edson
1950 - 2019

Becky passed away on January 16, 2019 after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Bremerton on October 27, 1950 to parents Harold and Mary Loudy. Becky was the second youngest of 5 children, Elizabeth, Sandra, Harold Jr, Debbie and step sister Laura Jo. She was her brother Hal's 7th birthday present and he thought she should have been a boy.

She grew up and went to school in Port Orchard, relocated to Seattle with her family and continued her schooling. She married and had son Dan and daughter Stephanie and is also grandmother to Kaleb, Allison, Nick and Curtis. Becky is survived by her grandchildren, son, daughter and sisters Elizabeth, Debbie and Laura Jo.

Becky went on to work at the Port of Seattle as a Longshoreman, advanced to supervisor and ultimately retired from that position. She was the second female selected for the Longshoreman's supervisor position at the Port and was extremely proud of her position and service performed. She missed many of her many friends and co-workers after retiring. She was also very proud of her grandchildren and spent many days taking them on trips and vacationing at her cabin on the Tahyua River. She also invited many relatives and friends to her cabin.
