IDEOLOGY DRIVEN
INCOMPETENCE
The above title, "Ideology driven
incompetence" comes from a column in the Seattle Post Intelligencer of
9/28/04 in which Walter Williams, professor emeritus at the U of W's Daniel J.
Evans School of Public Affairs accuses the Bush administration of incompetence
caused by ideological belief.
Ideology,
according to Webster's dictionary, is "visionary theorizing."
The ideological belief that drives the Bush gang
up the wrong path, says, is their belief that if the U.S. is such a powerful
super power, and the Bush gang is the most powerful political power in the U.S.
then they ought to be able to
become world-dictator, including America, if that isn't enough, add the clincher used by
most ideologues of history - "it is God's will" - used by most
ideologues of history, and they cannot resist forging ahead against all reality
and common sense. Everything is decided on the ill-defined, "you are either
for or against evil." evil is defined by the ideological gang.
Of course, there is always the nuclear option.
If they have
the power, why not use it? But the
world has become nuclear armed in several places, and if one party chooses
it, others may be tempted to throw the bomb because everything is now down the
tube anyway.
Then we face
the ultimate in ideological madness - irreparable global destruction.
"God's will be done!
Belief in
such an enormously unreal task, as already seen in Vietnam, can only lead to an
incompetent mess. That is becoming more obvious as death,
destruction and chaos reign in Iraq wile the rest of the world shudders.
How long is
the Bush gang's incompetence going to continue threatening the world? To what
lengths will they go to try to make the real world fit their belief in total
military and religious power? the Bush ideology is blind.
It will continue to blunder as an army in the night. The Bush gang must
be stopped
before a major world crisis blows us put of the water. You
can help save the world by throwing the Bush gang out November 2nd.
