The
Canadian National Anthem was sung by Kate Pauley and the United States National
Anthem was sung by Felicia Whitbeck. The girls are
students from Portland's Roosevelt High School.
The
Invocation was given by Deacon Elaija Graham, member of the Columbia River
Pensioners
Executive Board. There was one minute of silence in memory of deceased
Brothers
and Sisters.
The
meeting was called to order by lst Vice
President Lou Loveridge
who introduced PCPA President Joe Lucas.
Guests
speakers were: John Robinson, Secretary -Treasurer , ILWU Local 8 and Harry
Glaus,
Labor Liaison for Hon. Brian Baird, US Representative from the 3rd District
of
the State of Washington.
Recessed until 9:00 Am
Tuesday.
Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003
Called to order at 9:00 AM.
The
resolutions were presented, discussed and passed by the body.
The
changes to the Constitution were presented, discussed and passed by the body.
Recessed until 1:30
Area Caucuses met for nomination of Officers.
Nominations were presented and the Election
was held. Results were: Arne Auvinen, President; Joe Lucas, Vice President;
Al Perisho,
Recording Secretary; Barbara Lewis, Treasurer. Paul
McCabe was re-elected delegate from Local 19 with Dick Melton as alternate.
Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003
Called to order at 9:00 AM.
The elected officers were sworn in.
Adjourned until September 2004 in Burnaby, B.C. Canada.
