"Brothers:
Thanks
for adding us to the mailing list. Our two states have so much impact on each other
in many ways. I know I am not just speaking for myself when I
say that the fellowship of your club is a treasured relationship. You
helped make our 36th annual convention a good one. We're
already looking forward to next year in B.C. I guess we've all got
a lot to
do in the mean time to help nudge the country back into the right
direction
again.
Thanks again,
VERNA."
Thanks
for your fine letter, VERNA. We all hope we turn our country toward a

Their pensions are not bountiful.
From GEORGE (Cowboy) DALY, Desert Hot Springs, CA.
"Dear RUDY, BILL & all,
PAT BRADY went over the hill in Sep't. '03. He
said he "spilled more whiskey than all those longshoremen
drank."
DAN
BUTLER & JOHN VLASIC are here on the desert. I go to Yuma, Arizona and
see ROY McDERMOTT and GAIL GROVES.
I
brag to these widows about my longshore pension and medical insurance. These cowboys in South
Dakota don't believe I have the medical insurance I claim. Most of them go
to the V.A. or just get sick and die. Keep up your good work and I'll
spread the good news about the ILWU!
Cowboy GEORGE DALY.
Good for you, Brother Daly! And thanks for your poem in eulogy to PAT BRADY.
It is a fine piece of writing.
