As a
longshore function was coming to a close, one of the speakers said the
following:
“We thank those who have gone before us, for if it were not for them, we would

we have. We, who are here now, work
to achieve goals for those who will
follow, and with those who follow, we share a common goal and a
hope for the
future.”
I did not know how impacting this thought, was,
until I lived thru a few contracts. I
do believe the latest to arrive will do what is necessary for the protection of
the “old-timers.”
