Spring 2003
From CATHERINE GILMORE, Seattle. WA.
with apologies,
"RUSTY HOOK; Today I received JIM'S RUSTY HOOK and I was
so very disappointed and really hurt.
JIM W. GILMORE, my husband, passed away Sept. 6, 2002 after
being a member of Local 52 for 46 years. You didn't even mention him in the
column of the Final Dispatch! I think that is a very poor way to treat a fellow
union worker who loved his job. I hope no other wife has the hurt I am feeling
today!.
CATHERINE GILMORE
Seattle, Washington
Dear CATHERINE. Our profound apology! A terrible mistake.
Your hurt feeling will make us try to be more careful in the future.
From ERNEST JENNINGS wife notifying us of a misspelling of
his name on the final Dispatch list. We are very sorry and apologize. We'll have
to watch this in the future. And, to make matters worse, we didn't include JAMES
GILMORE'S name on the Final Dispatch. Our sorrow is made more so and we
apologize fully. Maybe old age is catching up with us. We'll try harder.
From RON THORNBERY, Everett, WA.
"For the "Kitty". Keep up the good work.
RON THORNBERY - 64098. My 40th."
RON encloses a fine check for $100.00. Many thanks, RON. That
really helps to keep up the "good work."
From RUDY MARTINEZ, President of Local 19 Pensioners,
Seattle, WA.
"$50.00 for the RUSTY HOOK.
Donated by RUDY MARTINEZ on behalf of the pensioners on the
contract voting committee."
Thank you, RUDY. The contract voting committee did a very
commendable job.
