Larry "Pokey" Carpenter Larry "Pokey" CARPENTER Age 75. Born September 20, 1934, died April 13, 2010 peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones. He leaves behind his beloved wife Elsie; daughter Belinda (Mike) Ballah; granddaughters Nicole (Jason) Leverich and Britney Ballah. Daughter Lori (Martin) West; grandsons Joshua (Jennica) West and Ryan West; granddaughter Lacey West. Brother Fred (Chris) Carpenter; sister Jeri Carpenter and sister-in-law Bernice Carpenter. Larry was preceded in death by his brother Dale Carpenter. He was retired from the ILWU Local 98. A celebration of
