Jimmy was born and raised in Seattle and passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 1, 2012. He was the son of Charles and Catherine Dean and is survived by his wife of 43 years Patricia, daughter Erin, son Sean, twin brother Charles, sister Marilyn and his beloved dog Elle.

Jimmy was a third generation member of the ILWU. He retired as Business Agent in 2002. Jimmy's passions in life were his family, the ILWU, men's fastpitch softball, his dogs, animals of all shapes and sizes and in recent years NASCAR racing.
