Secretary-Treasurer Intermodal Driver's Council We. the Owner/Operators & Drivers on the Waterfront, are in a fight for our survival and we are asking for the support of our Brothers and Sisters of the ILWU. Everyone knows that the ILWU is THE power on the docks, so we are coming to you as Union family to help keep our and eventually your jobs from being eroded away. There have been years of animosity between the unorganized drivers and the Unions, but now the Teamsters have stepped forward to bring us into the Union Brotherhood and we need the help of the Brothers and Sisters of the ILWU in any way you can. How, you say, can you help? We are flying blue antenna flags or have the Teamster Local 174 decals on our trucks. When you see us, let us know you support us by giving us a 'Hi' sign or come over and talk to us or whatever you can do to show the unorganized that there is something to belonging to the 'Union Family'.
