Liverpool Dockers Solidarity

The Neptune Jade rally was to protest and show support for the locked out Liverpool Dockers who were replaced by scab labor in England. The Neptune Jade was loaded by the scab labor and sailed to Oakland for discharge. The ILWU in Oakland refused to cross a picket line that was setup by labor and community activists. The authorities arrested a few activists and students. So the ship sailed to Vancouver Canada to be unloaded. The pickets went up so the ship was turned away and then it sailed to Japan and the Japanese Longshore workers refused to cross  The PMA tried to sue the individuals who the PMA thought were the leaders of the pickets that stopped the ILWU from entering the terminal. Below are photos from the July event in front of the San Francisco Courthouse.
